New York Voices: Wack!
About This Episode
When the Feminist Movement of the 1960s and 70s rocked the nation, it also left its indelible mark on art. WACK! Art & the Feminist Revolution, which will be on display at P.S. 1 (www.ps1.org/) until May 12th, is the first international survey of Feminist Art - what curator Connie Butler calls the most important artistic movement since World War II. Mary Beth Edelson, a New York-based artist featured in the show and one of the pioneers of Feminist Art, talks about her experience as an artist and an activist during the 1970s.
